Avast, and Heave To!

My youngest granddaughter Chloe (aka "Pirate Cocoa") recently celebrated her 4th birthday.
Prepare to surrender your sweets!

Until next, sweet sailing.

Aye, so she be, ye scurvy bilge rat. Now hand over your chocolate or Pirate Cocoa will run you through with her Jack Spaaaaaarrow plastic sword.

Is she bearing a cutlass? I say, mate, is she a cutlass bearing?

Aye, she'll hang from the nearest yard bills for that.

A curse will follow ye unless you change your course and be joining her crew. Then you can share in the treasure. An easy choice - chocolates or walking the (cardboard) plank!

From an old radio serial called The Cinnamon Bear:

The Candy Buccaneers
[episode 8]
Sung by: Captain Taffy and the Candy Pirates

We're known as Candy Buccaneers
And pirating's our pleasure,
We never hunt for buried gold
'Cause candy is our' treasure.

The very thought of Pirate loot
Is quite enough to bore us
But when we sight a candy-bar
We shout, and sing this chorus:

Candy Ho, Candy Ho,
There's candy to the starboard!
Sing Yo-ho-ho and a bottle Of pop!

Candy Ho, Candy Ho,
There's candy to the larboard!
Sing Yo-ho-ho and a bottle Of pop!

Walking planks, and fighting duels
May be quite fine and dandy,
But if there's fighting to be done,
We'd rather fight for candy.
We're very fond of Jelly-beans
Of lollipops and taffy
And when we capture chocolate fudge,
We're positively daffy.

Candy Ho, Candy Ho,
There's candy to the starboard!
Sing Yo-ho-ho and a bottle Of pop!
(Cheer)
Candy Ho, Candy Ho,
There's candy to the larboard!
Sing Yo-ho-ho and a bottle Of pop!

I see Arkonbey hasn't left a comment yet, so I'm going to share one of his new favorite pirate jokes:

Q: What's a pirate's favorite letter?

If the person tries to answer "Arrrrrrr," you leap in and say
"No, it be the SEA!"

Well, it works better in person. Happy birthday to Pirate Cocoa!

Shiver me timbers! Thanks, Sweet Enemy! for the joke and Bday wishes.

Stay warm in all that snow! But I guess you guys are used it by now.

Aye, shipmate. Surely her hold be chock full of awesome!

May all her b-days be so laden!

and the pirate with a baby doll is just a hilarious image;)

Thanks, Arkonbey. Yeah, the doll is too much. What is also funny is that the doll's dress shows children in clothing from around the world. Chloe has a matching dress (my daughter loves to sew) and had a theme for her Birthday of "It's A Small World" (sorry, I know that will trigger a song in the mind of anyone reading this).
