A B C D Goldfish?

L M N O Goldfish!

O S A R Goldfish! C M?

O I C D Goldfish!

Or do you?

(full screen highly recommended)

Painting a cross section of goldfish between each layer of resin, artist Riusuke Fukahori creates three dimensional images, much in the way 3D printers work. The result, as you can see, is a stunning illusion.

Until next, sweet sailing.

cool. I like the last giant painting especially.

The fish-in-resin works though are an example of the illusion being too good. Unless you are told that they are paintings, one might dismiss them as simply small sculptures embedded in resin.

Arkonbey - indeed, one might almost expect a backlash from PETA - how dare you encase live fish in resin!

Pandabonium,

How have you two been coping with the winter without sailing? Hope all is well with you and trust that Spring is just around the corner.

Take care,

Sandscraper

We're surviving - if shivering, thanks. In the forties (F) in the day and below freezing at night. Up at the lake it got down to -7°C (19.4°F) the other night. Hope to get back on the water by May.

Enjoying your weather I see. :^)
